My name is Kasia and I’m a runner.
It all started very innocently when I was diagnosed with a Chronic Hyperventilation Syndrome. Despite being fairly active, this meant that I was getting out of breath just sitting at my desk. As part of the treatment I was told to push myself whilst trying to control my breathing.
Running was, and still is, something that I consider the hardest exercise and seemed to fit the bill!
I started small, doing 10 min runs on a treadmill and hated it with a passion. Then gradually moved to the great outdoors with a jog and walk alternations.
You can probably guess what happened next... before I knew it, I was doing 5K and 10K runs, soon progressing to half marathons.
Then I discovered off-road running and haven’t look back since. I did my first marathon in 2015 and
seemed to enjoy it enough to complete another five :)
I love running because it never gets easy, it’s a constant challenge.
